VATA FATUM – The Early End to a Budding Farm Dictatorship The enemy arises early.I do too…but it makes no difference, because every new generation of this feather clan plays it safe at mother and father’s side.An unhealthy genetic traffic jam, tight-knit, incestuous, controlling everything by means of simple quantity: destruction….laid eggs over-incubated—fat asses spread out on the nesting boxes of others, smugly squatting alongside someone else’s nesting box to smoke out a different set of genetics—in twos in fours in sixes—always in the majority, always in the knowledge that there’s no opponent, because this clump of family couldn’t stand one—a classic taker of the arm when offered a finger: THE field sparrow. An intruder on the Danish three-sided farm, rattling the cage of German Contentism; who dissects the positive omen, blows away, sits away almost being in love as a propellant for having a relationship to the painterly motive, takes it away to ram it into my chest as a sharp, flattened minus stroke: here you go painterman...from today onward it’s called: MINUSCONTENTISM!Okay, okay, okay, little cocoa-crowned dictator ... accepted ... coerced but: accepted. Because I have involuntarily reached the boiling point at which the big WHAT and the big WHY have lost their significance as chronic artist issues….because this lump of dictators has thrown on the AUTOMATICA-MACHINE—the subject becomes the determiner ..... I will become the subordinate—formally and in terms of content—to do the subject justice ... my weapons are at the ready: brush—paint—Ruger M.K.1: VATA-FATUM—the early end to a budding farm dictatorship—in thought, in oil, and in reality.Bendix Harms, October 2019
